Who we are
dodojo (dodojo.ai) is an AI-powered personal memory space for capturing and revisiting what you choose to save.
What we collect
- Account information: email, name, and profile photo.
- Content you actively save: notes, links, images, voice messages, and other records.
- Messages you send to our bots on connected Telegram, WhatsApp, or LINE channels are stored in your private space.
- Calendar data: after you connect Google Calendar, events from your selected calendars are fetched on demand for display. Events are created only when you explicitly ask.
- Basic usage data: product analytics used to improve the product.
- Connector data: authorized client names, OAuth scopes, access times, and tool activity.
AI connectors and MCP
- Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, and other MCP clients receive access only after you sign in and explicitly approve the requested OAuth read and write scopes.
- Connector tools can search, read, save, update, move memories to Recently Deleted, or organize them, with each action exposed as a separate tool in the client.
- The notify tool may send a short message to your own connected WhatsApp, Telegram, or app notifications; it does not contact other people on your behalf.
- Encrypted memories and memories marked Hidden from AI are excluded from AI retrieval.
- You can revoke a connection under Connections; future requests stop immediately without deleting existing memories.
How we use it
- Provide core features: storing, organizing, searching, reminding you about, and revisiting your content.
- AI features organize, summarize, and generate insights from your saved content, and process only content in your own space.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Your private content is visible only to you by default, unless you choose to share it publicly.
Third-party services
- Google Calendar: authorization tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. You can disconnect at any time under Connections; disconnecting deletes the token.
- Telegram, WhatsApp, and LINE: messages you send to our bots are associated with your account only after you connect it, and you can disconnect at any time.
- Web payments are processed by Stripe and iOS in-app purchases by Apple. We do not store payment card information.
- Infrastructure: Vercel for hosting, and Supabase for database and storage.
- AI model providers receive only the minimum content needed for an AI feature you invoke and may include Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, or OpenRouter depending on the active configuration.
Retention and security
Account data and active memories are retained until you delete them or your account. Items in Recently Deleted follow the retention period shown in the app and can then be permanently removed. OAuth credentials are stored as digests or encrypted values, and logs are designed to exclude passwords, full tokens, and unnecessary memory content.
Browser extension
Dodojo Quick Save saves the webpage content, selected text and links you explicitly choose into your own dodojo account.
- Read only when you act: The extension reads the current page only when you click its icon, press its shortcut or choose its save-page context-menu action.
- Content you choose to save: Saving a page uploads its title, readable text, source link and a screenshot preview of the visible area. Selected-text saves include the excerpt and source; link and image-link saves store the URL. If you turn on "Allow access to file URLs" for the extension and explicitly save a local PDF open in the browser, that PDF and its file name are uploaded; its path on your computer is not saved, and no other local files are read.
- No background browsing: A one-time page script runs only for the save. Browsing history, cookies and bookmarks are not accessed. Text extraction skips form fields and hidden content; the preview shows the visible page.
- Durable local saves: Local data includes a capture-only authorization token, connection status and an account-scoped retry queue. Page text and preview bytes are committed together on your device before background upload; failed originals remain available for retry.
- Private upload destinations: Connection and capture requests go to dodojo.ai. Previews upload to private signed storage URLs issued by Dodojo, without sending your capture token to storage. The extension has no all-sites permission and uses temporary access to the tab you explicitly save.
Choose Disconnect in the extension popup to revoke authorization and clear the local token. Uninstalling the extension also deletes its local data. Saved content can be deleted in dodojo.
Data deletion
You can delete any record in the app. To delete your account, go to Settings → Delete account; deletion takes effect immediately. To export your data, contact us by email and we will process your request within 30 days.
